Learn how to develop immersive MR experiences using Microsoft HoloLens at VRDC Fall 2017

Virtual Reality Developers Conference organizers are highlighting a VRDC Fall 2017 panel deconstructing the creation of branded content using Microsoft HoloLens for the app Flight Deck, a Red Bull Air Race MR experience.

If you’re coming to VRDC Fall 2017, which is happening September 21-22 at a bigger, better venue in San Francisco, you’ll want to keep an eye on this panel.

Attend VRDC Fall 2017 to learn about immersive games & entertainment, brand experiences, and innovative use cases across industries.

In his discussion “Red Bull Air Race Case Study: Creating Branded Mixed Reality Content”, Rick Davis will provide insight into the thought and development process behind Flight Deck and discuss how the unique features of the device were leveraged, plus plans which will shape how fans in the future view the fastest motorsport on the planet.

Davis has worked in gaming and tech for 12 years in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. He joins REWIND as General Manager for North America to expand REWIND’s vision as an AR and VR innovator in content creation. The San Francisco office focuses on building scalable software and owned IP. For select brands, studios, and agencies the US office will create world-class immersive experiences. It’s safe to assume that Davis has a lot of experience creating branded content while still retaining a sense of creative freedom.

How can developers create an immersive MR experience centered around a live sport ? A key goal of the panel is to inform attendees on how to develop for Microsoft HoloLens, and the unique considerations for mixed reality content creation. Attendees will also learn what to avoid when developing for HoloLens and leave with an appreciation for how MR can impact the viewing of live sport, and what the future might hold.  At the end, the panel will gladly answer questions from the audience, so please join them to get your questions answered!

And of course, VRDC Fall 2017 organizers look forward to announcing many more talks for the event in the weeks to come. Don’t forget to register early at a discounted rate!

Since tickets sold out for the first three VRDC events, VRDC Fall 2017 will offer more sessions and move to a bigger location at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco, CA September 21-22.
